Inauguration of the centre of Excellence for post-harvest cocoa processing in Lembé-Yézoum

It is through the opening this October 20 ,2020, of the center of Excellence for post-harvest processing of cocoa. This infrastructure is an initiative of the Interprofessional cocoa and coffee Council-CICC, in partnership with the Confédération des Chocolatiers et confiseurs de France Sponsored by the Ministry of Trade. "I am convinced that our chocolate friends have been convinced that Cameroon makes a Cocoa of excellent quality and that it deserves to be referenced in the pantheon of the best cacao that can exist on the best international".This is the conclusion reached by the Minister of Trade Luc Magloire Mbarga Atangana at the end of the inauguration ceremony of the centre of Excellence for post-harvest cocoa processing in Lembé - Yézoum,in the presence of French investors.

For the fourth time on an exploration mission in Cameroon, these emblematic figures of the contemporary history of the Cameroonian cocoa sector, promoters of the "club of committed Chocolatiers" commit themselves by this act ,to help the government to value the work of producers and allow them to draw the substantial marrow. What the trade boss describes as just retribution, from the fruit of their labor. Paraphrasing the President Paul Biya of Cameroon for whom : "the producer must find his right central place, at the heart of the device, in the perspective of a shared profitability within our sectors of annuity products that are cocoa and coffee.

In order to attach the act to, la parole, law n0 95/11 of 29 July 1995 on the organization of trade in cocoa and coffee, law n0 2004/025 of 30 December 2004 amending and supplementing certain provisions of law 95/11 of 27 July 1995 on the organization of trade in cocoa and coffee, decree n0 2006/085 of 9 March 2006 on the organization and operation of the fund for the development of the cocoa and coffee sectors –fodecc were developed. Hence the multiplication of the post-harvest processing Centres of Excellence in Lembé-Yezoum, after those in Nkog-Ekogo, Mintaba and Si Manyai, Zoetélé and Akomnyada in the Central Region .

This explains the joy of the president of SOCOLAMCAM-Jean Zalig Messanga to welcome the support of the public authorities "we dare to believe that this center will allow to remedy the endemic phenomenon of" coxage », I thank the Minister of trade for braving this long distance ,this bad road to get to Lembé-Yézoum .This production basin promises to produce a Cocoa of excellent quality .there will be a high-end cocoa here from now on ".This vision is shared by Mayor Isabelle Ze for whom this infrastructure that falls within the framework of the emergence of Africa will have to be interested in young Africans.
In the presence of the interprofession officials, Daniel Mercier and Christophe Bertrand of the Confédération des chocolatiers et confiseurs de France, confirmed that the cocoa that will be marketed by the center of Excellence of Post-harvest processing of Lembé-Yezoum will cost 1640 FCFA per KG, against 700/1000 F, for the standard cocoa, treated in the old
