Turkish - African Economic Forum and Business Forum: Cameroon intends to play its part in the "new world"

Luc Magloire Mbarga Atangana the Cameroonian Minister of Trade confessed this yesterday, during the Turkey-Africa videoconference organized from 8-9 October 2020. At a time when covid-19 imposes on the world mutations that will inevitably lead to new forms of life in a context marked by the upcoming operationalization of the African Continental Free Trade Zone-ZLECAF- : "Cameroon intends to play its part in this mutation, which will lead to what some have not hesitated to call a "new world" declared the boss of trade. Because it has undeniable assets : stable and solid Institutions, an economic potential that makes you dream .For example its area of 475442 km2, 71250 km2 of arable land, of which only 29% are so far exploited.

On a completely different level added the head of the ministerial department in charge of trade issues, this country has acquired a steering tool, called " Strategy Document for growth and jobs ", and a Master Plan for industrialization, articulated around three sanctuaries-digital, agro-industry and energy -. Textiles / clothing, mining and metallurgy, infrastructure, forest and wood, finance, hydrocarbons and petrochemicals, chemistry and pharmacy, strategic intelligence and economic intelligence are the targeted structuring pillars.

At the legal level, the legislative and regulatory measures to promote investment and to provide all the necessary legal guarantees to investors are taken: the law on investment Charter in the Republic of Cameroon, the law setting incentives for private investment in the Republic of Cameroon and the law governing Economic Zones in Cameroon.
